Gift of the Shaper tour dates!

I have some exciting news for those of you who can’t read: I’m going to be on TV! I have had the incredible fortune to have been invited to do not one but two interviews.

Milwaukee’s Morning Blend

If you’ve seen Wayne’s World, you already know that the name “Milwaukee” is an Algonquian word, millioke, meaning “the good land,” and that it was the onetime home of Pabst Blue Ribbon — but now, more importantly, it will also soon be home to my first-ever TV interview with Milwaukee’s Morning Blend this Thursday (2/28).

I couldn’t be more excited or nervous, mostly because I’m afraid I’m going to pull a Ricky Bobby and not know what to do with my hands.

But that’s not where the good news ends.

HeartThreads

I was contacted by HeartThreads in D.C. who had learned about me through my article. They  wanted to interview me as well and, as luck would have it, they had an opening the day after my Milwaukee interview. They sent me a link to an interview that they had done before, and I bought a ticket to D.C. within the hour.

It’s powerful stuff, and I’m honored to even be in the same conversation with someone like Ulysses.

I couldn’t think of a better organization to tell my story to.

Audiobook progress update

On a lighter note, I got the following message from John (who is handling post-production) today:

This is super exciting for me — and incredibly stressful, given the news above. But my favorite part is this: my audiobook will be done soon.

MY AUDIOBOOK WILL BE DONE SOON!

This is something that I have invested a great deal of time, money, and passion into, and I’ll be so excited when it’s finally done. I believe in its quality, and I’m greatly impressed with John’s editing and production skills. I only hope that the final product is as good as I expect it to be.

I guess we’ll find out soon!

If you’re interested in finding out exactly when the audiobook is available, the easiest way is to sign up for my newsletter and I will tell you myself.

And if any of you live in the Milwaukee or D.C. area, feel free to drop me a line, too. I’d love to meet up.

-D.L.
